Gunfight breaks out in J&K

Srinagar July 19 (IANS) A gunfight broke out between hiding militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir s Kupwara district on Thursday police said.
Security forces surrounded Batpora area of Kupwara after intelligence reports about the presence of militants there said a police officer.
"As the cordon around the hiding militants was tightened they fired at the security forces triggering the gunfight which is going on " the officer added.
