Patidar leader ‘Hardik Patel’ sentenced 2 years in Visnagar riots case

July 25 (WTN) Patidar leader Hardik Patel has been sentenced to two years in jail by Visnagar court for blasphemy and demolition in the office of legislator Rishikesh Patel. In addition to Hardik, the court has blamed 3 others, while court acquitted 14 others.
 
 It is notable that in 2015, Hardik had demanded reservations for the Patidars and started protest. This protest converted in riot in Mehsana's Visnagar during this period. Then Hardik sabotaged the BJP MLA's office. MLA Rishikesh Patel filed a case against him in which he was found guilty, in which he was found guilty.

The court also ordered the plaintiff to pay ten thousand rupees, BJP MLA 40 thousand and one car owner to pay one lakh rupees in this case. This was the first case recorded in the state during the Patidar agitation.
