Kargil Vijay Diwas: Nation praising our victory heroes of Kargil

19 years before Indian Army had hoisted the tricolor in Kargil on July 26, 1999, every year since then this day is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Divas. Today, the entire country is sacrificing reverence for the martyrdom of soilders while protecting the motherland. Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat, Naval President Admiral Sunil Lamba, Air Vice President Birendra Singh Dhanoa also paid tribute to the martyrs of Amar Jawan Jyoti in Delhi.
President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid homage to the martyrs. Modi tweeted that on the day of Kargil victory, the nation is paying homage to those who served the nation during Operation Vijay. Our brave soldiers ensured that India was safe and responded to those who tried to spoil the atmosphere of peace.

PM said in another tweet that India will always remember the excellent political leadership provided by Atal ji during Operation Vijay. They supported our armed forces and made India's stand clear on the globally.

President Ramnath Kovind tweeted that on Kargil Vijay Diwas, every Indian appreciates the efforts and feat of our Armed Forces. All the people bow down to the supreme sacrifice of Kargil martyrs. We will always be indebted to their family members.
In the Rajya Sabha, martyrs were remembered on the occasion of Kargil victory day. Speaker M. Venkaiah Naidu said that today is the 19th anniversary of Vijay Divas and on this day, the brave soldiers of the Indian army, rendered unarmed courage and their strategic skills, rescued Kargil peaks from enemy . During this time, many jawans had done their best to protect their motherland. He said that this House salutes the martyrs and offers them tribute.
