Maulana held in Pune for sexually assaulting students of ‘Madarsa’

July 28 (WTN) A Maulana of a Madrasa arrested on charges of sexual assault in Pune's Katraj area yesterday. According to police that accused Maulana Rahim, 21 arrested on Friday evening after the complaint was filed by the child rights activist Dr. Yamini Adbe in the police about this crime. After registered case, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Police have also released 36 childrens. The accused 21-year-old Rahim is a resident of Bihar. Most of the children living in the madarsas were also from Bihar.
According to the two children of the madrasa, who had recently fled from here because one of the clerics came in madarsa had committed abusive crimes of sexual harassment with other colleague of institution.
The information about this whole case came in light when two children ran away from the madrasa recovered by a NGO later they told everything about criminal activities faced by them. Child rights activist Dr Yamini Adbe said that the children have been freed from the madarsas and they have been shifted to another place.
