Girl drowns in pond in Delhi

New Delhi July 31 (IANS) An 11-year-old girl on Tuesday died here after she fell into a pond connected to the Yamuna river police said.
Besides a 7-year-old boy who also fell into the same pond was in a critical condition and is undergoing treatment.
The two children -- Asha and Raja -- along with a few others were playing outside their houses around 12 noon in Bela Gaon near Rajghat Power House Daryaganj where the incident occurred Deputy Commissioner of Police Mandeep Singh Randhawa said.
Later the two children were taken to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital where the girl was declared brought dead.
