2 militants killed in J&K gunfight (Lead)
Srinagar Aug 3 (IANS) Two militants were killed in a gunfight with the security forces on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir s Baramulla district police said.
The militants were killed in Behrampora village of Sopore area where the gunfight took place earlier in the day following a tip-off.
Search operation is ongoing in the area and the identities of the victims remain unknown the police added.
As a precautionary measure authorities have suspended mobile internet services in the district.
Educational institutions in Sopore town have also been closed for the day.
