AAP finds scam in Haryana affordable housing scheme
Gurugram Aug 3 (IANS) The Aam Aadmi Party in Haryana on Friday alleged a scam in the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) related to an affordable housing scheme in the state.
AAP Haryana media in-charge and RTI wing head Sudhir Yadav said that according to the affordable housing policy rates are clearly defined. "In Gurugram a builder can charge a maximum of Rs 4 000 per sq feet. Yet builders are taking additional external development charges (EDC) which vary from Rs 50 000 Rs 1 lakh " he said.
"When a buyer complained at the CM window the reply was that EDC and other charges are included in the Rs 4 000 charges " Yadav said. "But DTCP has not acted against the builders " he added.
