Gurugram Aug 16 (IANS) A complaint has been filed against former Haryana Chief Minister Buphinder Singh Hooda for allegedly insulting National Anthem during a public meeting.
The complaint was filed at the Mahindergarh Police station in south Haryana.
"Hooda stopped the National Anthem mid-way during a public meeting in Mahindergarh on August 12 " complainant Naresh Kadiyan an animal activist and Haryana s Commissioner of Bharat Scout and Guide told IANS.
Hooda has been Chief Minister of the state two times and is an advocate. He was aware of the law but he intentionally stopped the National Anthem to address the gathering Kadiyan said.
The complainant said that he has written to the Superintendent of Police and Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district to take stringent action against the former Chief Minister.
He also said that he had filed an online complaint against Hooda and organisers of the rally.
The complainant also attached an audio and a video clip showing Hooda asking the organisers to stop the National Anthem as he had forgotten to name local and senior leaders of the Congress party in his speech.
