Nepal Minister meets Sushma Swaraj, offers condolences on Vajpayee s death
New Delhi Aug 17 (IANS) External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday met Nepal Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali who conveyed condolences from his country s leadership over the passing away of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
"Deepest condolences conveyed by our friends from Nepal on the loss of a visionary leader!" External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
Kumar said that the two leaders "vowed to continue Vajpayee s legacy in strengthening bilateral relations".
Vajpayee 93 passed away here on Thursday after a prolonged illness. He was cremated with full state honours at the Rashtriya Smriti Sthal where Gyawali was also present among a host of leaders from various South Asian countries.
