Senior Journalist Kuldip Nayar passes away at 95

Senior journalist, diplomat, writer and editor Kuldip Nayar passed away on Wednesday midnight at the age of 95. Nayar was admitted to a Delhi hospital for three days. His last rituals will be held at Lodha Ghat situated on Lodhi road today. President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condoles the death of Nayar

Kuldeep Nayar was also a member of the India's delegation to the United Nations in 1996. In 1990, he was appointed High Commissioner in Britain. He was also nominated for the Rajya Sabha in 1997. Kuldeep was born on August 14, 1923 in Sialkot, Pakistan.
Nayyar had written 15 books, Beyond the Lines, Distant Neighbor: A Tale of Sub-Continent and India after Nehru and Others. He was also regular columnist and his editorials and articles published regularly in famous newspapers in India and abroad. He started his career with Urdu newspaper.
