Arun Jaitley takes charge of finance ministry after 3 months

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has returned to work after 3 months. He reached the Ministry of Finance today and took charge of his work. His kidney transplant was done on 14th May. Since then, he was resting on the advice of doctors. Now after the recovery in health he returned to work.

According to information, President Ramnath Kovind has instructed to hand over charge of Finance and Corporate Ministers to Arun Jaitley after advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rail and Coal Minister Piyush Goyal has taken over charge of the Ministry of Finance from May 14.
During his rest period Jaitley has been active on social media for the past several days. He wrote blogs on economic and non-economic issues. He has been actively expressed his thoughts on the issues like National Citizen Register (NRC) in Assam, on the issue of non-confidence motion in Parliament or Rafael Fighter Aircraft deal and GST.
