Delhi Consumers Cooperative store donates Rs 9 lakh for Kerala
New Delhi Aug 28 (IANS) The Delhi Consumers Cooperative Wholesale Store (DCCWS) on Tuesday donated over Rs 9 lakh for the Kerala relief fund a Delhi government official said.
"The Chairman of DCCWS met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the Delhi Secretariat and handed over a cheque of Rs 9.51 lakh " the official said.
As many as 417 people have lost their lives ever since monsoon rains began lashing Kerala on May 29 with some 8.69 lakh displaced people sheltered in 2 787 relief camps.
