ISRO to launch Chandran-2 on January 3, 2019 by new launch vehicle

First ever mission in the world to reach near the Moon's South Pole. Blueprint of India's first human space mission also prepared.

ISRO has announced today the launch date of Chandrayaan-2. ISRO chairman K.Sivan said on Tuesday that it will be launched on January 3, 2019. Chandrayan 2 will land in a pre fixed position near the Moon's South Pole on February 16. ISRO has also planning to launch 19 missions, including Chandrayaan-2, before March 2019.
 
ISRO Chairperson K. Siwan told in a media brief that the weight of Chandrayaan-2 has also been increased to 600 kg after certain pre launch experiments when it came in notice that when the landing part of chandrayan-2 will come out of satellite to land in moon surface it will be in moving state. So, it was decided to increase its load. Now it will be more than 38 quintals including the satellite.
 

ISRO has also changed Chandrayan-2 Launching Vehicle because of the increase in the load from GSLV to newly modified GSLV-MAC-3. This will be called GSLV-MAC-3-M1. Chandrayaan-2 was first planned to be launched earlier this year in October. Siwan told that it will be the first mission of the world, which will reach near the Moon's South Pole.


ISRO has also prepared the blueprint of India's first human space mission, Gaganyan. Through it, three astronauts will travel around the earth in an astronaut of 350 to 400 kilometers. They will experiment with extremely low gravity. This mission is aimed to complete by December 2021. Earlier this experiment will be unmanned twice.
 
Astronauts for Gaganayan will be trained for nearly three years. Keeping this in view, they will be selected soon. Air force pilots will be given priority in this. After five-seven days in space, astronauts will return to Earth. The vehicle will take 16 minutes to reach the fixed class and 36 minutes to return to Earth. About 10,000 crores of rupees will be spent on Gaganayan. It will be much less than any international human mission.
