Government increased DA by 2%, 10 cr employees and pensioners benefitted

At present Central employees were getting 7% DA of basic salary / pension
The Modi government has announced increment of 2% in Dearness Allowance to the Central Government employees and pensioners. In the Union Cabinet meeting on today approves increment after which DA has become 9%.
This increment will benefit 1.10 crore of the Central Government employees and pensioners. At present, the Central Government employees receive dearness allowance of 7 per cent. The increase in the dearness allowance has been increased according to the formulas fixed in the 7th Pay Commission.
There are more than 48 lakh central employees and more than 61 lakh pensioners across the country, get direct benefit. This increase will be done under the Formulas fixed in the 7th Pay Commission.
