No need to panic, banks will remain open in first week of September

Recently rumors spreading in the social media for bank closure for six days in the first week of September, Government has clarify that the bank branches will be open next week and there is no need to panic about this. The bank will be closed only on 2nd September on Sundays and on second Saturday on 8th September. Banking activities will be operated like normal days for the rest of the day.

The finance ministry said in this regard that rumors are being spread in the social media that in the first week of September, bank will be closed for six days. This makes the common people unnecessarily anxious. It is being clarified that banks will be open in the first week of September and banking activities will continue with out any interruption. Apart from this, there is not a public hodiday overall on September 3.
No impact on banking services
ATMs will continue to work fully in all the states where banks will remain closed on holidays. There will be no impact on online banking services. Banks have been asked to ensure adequate cash availability for withdrawal of ATM machines. It is worth mentioning that in some states due to Krishna Janmashti on 3 September there is a holiday. The United Forum of Officials and Employees of the Reserve Bank has announced to go on a collective leave on 4th and 5th September of its various demands, which is being called a bank strike in the social media.
