Typhoon ‘JEBI’ hits Japan, Touches Osaka with wind speed of 180 kmph

Strongest Typhoon in 25 years, heavy rain, and 600 flights cancelled in Nagoya and Osaka
Typhoon Jebi collides with Japan's west coast on Tuesday afternoon. According to Japan's Meteorological Department declared to be the fastest cyclonic storm of 25 years. ‘Jebi’ has touched down in Western Japan cancelling planes, trains, and between major cities. Winds are now running at a speed of 180 km / hour, due to which the high waves in the sea. Wind speed can increase further. Heavy rain and landslide warnings have been issued. The advisory to carry around 3 lakh people to safer places was issued.

According to the reports, services have been stopped due to water supply at Kansai Airport. About 500 flights have been canceled across the country. Local high speed train services have also been stopped between Osaka and Hiroshima. The theme park of Universal Studios at Osaka has been closed for the entire day.

Meaning of ‘Jebi’ is “to swallow" in Korean language, this is the 21st storm of this season that has hit Japan. It is now moving towards Honshu Island, after which there is a possibility of weakening of it. Typhoon intensity predicts maximum while reaches Tokyo. Warning of heavy rain and strong winds been issued in capital before.
