12 hours parole granted to Nawaz Sharif after wife’s death

Nawaz Sharif’s wife Kulsoom Nawaz passed away on Tuesday in London, funeral on Friday
Pakistan's former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reached Lahore on Wednesday after his wife Kulsoom (68) death. Imprisoned in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail with his daughter Mariam and son-in-law Capt (Rita) Muhammad Safdar has been also released on a 12-hour parole. Kulsoom died on Tuesday in London’s Hospital. On Friday, her last rituals will be performed in Jatti Umra of Lahore.
The Punjab Government issued an order for release on his parole. Earlier Nawaz appealed five-day parole but only 12 hours parole granted. According to Marium Aurangzeb, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) spokesman, Shahbaz Sharif had sent an application to the Punjab government to release Nawaz and his family on a 5-day parole. The Punjab government rejected the Shahbaz's 5-day application and stamped it for 12 hours parole. PMML (N) spokesman said that we hope that parole will be extended for the funeral of Kulasum on Friday.

Shahbaz Sharif will leave for London on Wednesday to bring Kulsoom's body to Pakistan. The officers of the Punjab government also said that the parole period will be extended for the funeral of Kulusam, who will be held in Lahore.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also ordered for proper arrangements and help to Sharif’s family to bring body of Kulsoom to Pakistan. In August last year Kulsoom was diagnosed with throat cancer.
