‘Mayajaal’ of BSP shocked Congress before 2019 general elections

Mayawati join hands with Ajit Jogi in Chhattisgarh
Prior to the 2019 general elections, the Congress, working on the strategy of encompassing the BJP in the states, is in shock. This flick came from the side of the Bahujan Samaj Party which is also a part of Congress so called Mahagatandhan. BSP supremo Mayawati has decided not to form Coalition with the Congress in Chhattisgarh and announced to go with Ajit Jogi of the Congress opposition camp. Not only that, Mayawati has also announced to contest the elections in 22 seats of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.
Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have assembly elections this year and for Congress victory matters in these states because if it does not happen then before 2019, the party's prospects will become impaired. In this sense, the Congress had also opened itself for the coalition in these states. Especially in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh Congress was negotiating with the BSP.
Mayawati had demanded respectable seats in all three states along with the alliance in UP. Due to not having any formula for seat sharing, Mayawati announced the alliance with Ajit Jogi. This shock took place when the local leadership of the Congress considering the pre poll alliance with BSP in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
BSP demand of more seats, spoil the game
According to reports, the BSP had demanded 50 seats in the 230-member 230-member Assembly and 15 seats in the 90-member assembly of Chhattisgarh. Congress leaders said that due to BJP's pressure, Mayawati kept such a demand that coalition could not be possible. On the other hand, Rajasthan Congress advocated not to form any kind of coalition in the state.
Just before the assembly elections this political stroke of BSP Supremo Mayawati has woken up the people involved in the Maha coalition's efforts in UP. BJP's victory over 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh bends opposition to form grand alliance between Samajwadi Party, BSP, Congress and RLD to stop the chariot of BJP. SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav has so far said that he wants to see the formation of a major coalition on the condition of personal loss, but Mayawati is not looking such a mood.
