Rs. 1146.68 cr dues of Air India on the government, highest on PMO

A huge total of Rs 1146.68 crores is figure of outstanding dues of Air India on central government ministries in which maximum dues on Cabinet secretariat and Prime Minister Office. Air India is government owned airline and recently struggling with cash crisis. These unpaid dues are of charted flight travelled by VVIPs. Maximum dues of Rs 543.18 crores have pending on Cabinet Secretariat and the Prime Minister's Office. These facts have been revealed in the information provided by air India under the Right to Information Act.

In a RTI reply by Air India on September 26 in response to the application, Air India informed that we have dues of VVIP flights an outstanding of Rs 1146.68 crores. In this, the Cabinet Secretariat and the Prime Minister's Office were owed Rs 543.18 crore, foreign ministry Rs 392.33 crore and defense ministry Rs 211.17 crore respectively.
