19-Year-old youth commits suicide in Delhi

New Delhi Oct 7 (IANS) A 19-year old youth on Sunday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself outside his residence in West Delhi the police said.
"At around 6.30 a.m. Gulshan s father Ranbir found him lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot injury outside his residence in Dwarka s Matiala area " Deputy Commissioner of Police Anto Alphonse said.
"He was taken to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead " the DCP said.
The hospital staff informed the local police regarding admission of a youth with a gunshot injury Alphonse added.
"During investigation it was found that Gulshan had received a gunshot injury from a very close range " the officer said adding that four live cartridges were recovered from the pocket of the deceased.
"It appears to be a case of suicide maybe accidental. We are investigating the case from other angles too " he added.
