Jewellery worth Rs 25 lakh looted in Jharkhand

Ranchi Oct 8 (IANS) Unidentified robbers on Monday looted jewellery worth Rs 25 lakh from a businessman in Jharkhand s Ranchi police said.
The incident took place at Dhruva locality when Raj Kumar Burman owner of Burman Jewellers was busy opening the locks of his shop. Taking advantage of this the bike-borne criminals snatched the jewellery from him.
Police has launched an operation to arrest the criminals.
Ranchi police is under the scanner over the law and order situation in the city. On Sunday around Rs 3 lakh was looted from a gas agency official. Last week a businessman was murdered at a main road here.
