Ashish Pandey, son of former MP Rakesh Pandey, a former Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) MP, who is absconding in the case of threatening a woman by showing a pistol in Delhi's Hotel Hyatt, surrendered in Patiala House court here on Thursday.
Before surrendering before the court, Pandey released a video and declared him innocent. Ashish Pandey said, "The media is campaigning against me. He is showing me like a terrorist. A non-bailable warrant was issued against me, but if the CCCV footage of the day of the hotel is being seen then it will be clear who is guilty.

Eariler Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Patiala Court had on Wednesday granted a non-bailable warrant to arrest Ashish Pandey. After Pandey's absconding, in view of the seriousness of the case, the court requested the court to issue an unlawful warrant against him.
The court had issued a non-bailable warrant while accepting the police's request. Ashish Pandey was present at the hotel during a party at Hyatt Regency Hotel on Saturday October 14 along with some of his foreign women companions. Ashish took out a pistol and threatened a woman. After receiving the complaint from the hotel, the case was registered against him against the Arms Act. In this case, a non-bailable warrant has been issued against Ashish on Wednesday.
