Woman poisons self, 3 kids in UP

Lucknow, Dec 12 (IANS) A minor altercation in a family led to the death of a woman and her three children in Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police said.The woman's daughter was pestering her to buy her a balloon. Angry at the demand, she beat up her daughter and was later reprimanded by her husband and in-laws for hitting the child. Later, the mother Nirmala, 30, consumed poison and also poisoned her three children.The incident took place at Barbaspur village in Pannuganj area. The children who died have been identified as Aaditya, 3, Aanchal, 2, and Akansha of only 18 months. The police has sent the bodies for post-mortem.
