No Increase in Complaints in National Commission for Minorities

There has been no increase in complaints received in National Commission for Minorities (NCM) over the last 3 years.  Information was given by Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha.

On receipt of the complaints/grievances, NCM takes appropriate action as per provisions of NCM Act, 1992 and procedure adopted by the NCM.   As mandated under Section 9 of the NCM Act, 1992, the Commission has been taking up cases regarding deprivation of rights and safeguards of the minorities, as and when they are brought to the notice of NCM, with the authorities in the concerned State Governments/ Central Government. – Window To News
