Ranchi, Jan 31 (IANS) A Jharkhand legislator said on Thursday that he was threatened after he raised the issue of coal theft in the state Assembly.
Arup Chatterjee of the Marxist Coordination Committee (MCC) had on Wednesday spoken about the rampant theft of coal in his Nirsa constituency in Dhanbad district.
That evening, four people reached his house and threatened him with dire consequences, he told the media on Thursday.
"The men had weapons and bombs. We have informed the police," said Chatterjee. He accused the police of colluding with the coal theft.
