Minor girl stripped, attacked with blade by boyfriend in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, March 9 (IANS) In a shocking incident a minor girl was stripped naked and attacked with a blade by her boyfriend, who also filmed the act, police said on Saturday.The incident occurred on Thursday near DBR Mills in Hyderabad city. The 16-year-old girl, who suffered several cuts on her body, was rescued by some passersby, who also caught hold of the accused and handed him over to the police.According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Narasimha Reddy, the girl in her statement revealed that she had been having an affair with the boy for three months.Suspecting that she was talking to another boy also, the accused, also said to be a minor, called her to an isolated place and attacked her. The accused is allegedly a drug addict and police are investigating if there are other drug addicts involved in the crime, said the official.A case was registered against the boy under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act.
