setting up of Sainik and Pandit colonies in J&K

New Delhi: The Government has no proposal to set up Sainik and Pandit colonies in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. 

However, the Government has approved a scheme on 18th November 2015 for providing additional 3000 state government jobs to the Kashmiri migrants and construction of 6000 transit accommodations in the Kashmir valley for the Kashmiri migrants to whom state government jobs have been provided/ will be provided. 

This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir in a written reply to question by Ashwini Kumar in the Lok Sabha today. WTN
