Rahul congratulates Modi, says Congress will continue its fight

New Delhi March 11 (IANS) Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP for the party s victory in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand assembly polls and said the Congress will continue its fight till it wins the hearts and minds of people.

In a series of tweets Gandhi also congratulated Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh for the party s victory and said it was a mandate for brighter future of the state.

I congratulate Shri Narendra Modi and the BJP on their victory in Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand. I thank everyone in Punjab for their immense faith and support. This is a mandate for a brighter future for Punjab and its youth Gandhi said.

My heartiest congratulations to Capt Amarinder Singhji & all our party workers who worked tirelessly @capt_amarinder Gandhi posted.

In his tweet addressed to party workers Gandhi said the party stands committed to its values.

To all Congress workers across India: We stand resolute and committed to our values & our belief in an India united in strength & purpose. Our fight continues and will not end till we win the hearts and minds of people he said.
