Hoax bomb call creates scare at Calcutta High Court
Kolkata March 16 (IANS) Security authorities were on Thursday thrown in a tizzy after a bomb scare at the Calcutta High Court premises.
Justice Dipankar Dutta s office got a phone call around 2 p.m. that bombs planted at different chambers on the High Court premises will go off any time. However the call turned out to be a hoax Joint commissioner Police Supratim Sarkar said.
A bomb squad along with sniffer dogs was rushed to the premises but no trace of any bomb or explosives was found even after a thorough search till evening he said.
Police said it is trying to trace the caller who played the prank.
