Congress lost political, not economic argument on demonetisation

Kolkata March 18 (IANS) Former Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said here on Saturday that although the Congress has lost the political argument on demonetisation it hasn t lost the economic argument.

We have lost the political argument but I don t think we have lost the economic argument Chidambaram said.

Objectives are good but demonetisation is not the answer he asserted.

On the Kashmir issue the veteran politician laid emphasis on placing trust in the people of the region.

We should trust the people of Kashmir. We must honour Article 370. We must give them more autonomy. We must trust them with more autonomy he said.
