Two toddlers suffer burn injuries as car catches fire
New Delhi March 23 (IANS) Two toddlers playing inside a parked car sustained burn injuries on Thursday when it suddenly caught fire Delhi Police said.
Siblings Deepanshi aged three-and-half years and 21-month-old Lakshita were playing inside their father s car in west Delhi s Budh Vihar area around 9.30 a.m. when the vehicle was suddenly engulfed in flames.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Police have ruled out foul play.
A police officer said the children may have been playing with a matchbox or a lighter which led to the fire.
The children were admitted to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital here where Lakshita s condition is said to be critical.
