Mother dies, two kids severely injured in fire
Kolkata March 30 (IANS) A woman died while her two children were severely injured in a fire at their house here on Thursday afternoon police said.
Swati Misra (40) received serious burn injuries along with her two-year-old daughter and 10-month-old baby boy in a fire at their residence at 3.50 p.m. on Thursday an officer from Shyampukur police station said.
The three victims were immediately taken to Kolkata s R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital by the locals. While the mother succumbed to the injury the two kids are undergoing treatment at the hospital he said.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death as the reason for fire is yet to be ascertained.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot the officer added.
