Minister of Railways Flagged off / Inaugurated Various Train Services

Union Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu flagged off/inaugurated the following new trains/extension of trains through Video Conferencing from here today i.e. 31st March, 2017.
1. Train No 56927/56928 Hubballi - Chickbenkal- Hubballi Fast Passenger
2. Train No 55371/55372, 55373/55374 and 55375/55376 Pilibhit - Majhola Pakariya Passenger
3. Extension of Train No 51703/51704 and 51705/51706 Jabalpur - Sukrimangela Passenger Trains up to Ghansore.
Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smt Maneka Gandhi, Union Minister for Chemical & Fertilizers Shri Ananth Kumar, Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Shri Faggan Singh Kulaste and the Member of Parliaments of various constituencies were specially present to grace the occasion. Chairman, Railway Board, Shri A. K. Mital, Member Traffic Shri Mohd Jamshed, Member Engineering Shri Aditya Kumar Mittal and other Railway Board Members and senior officials were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu said, “ This is an important event as it falls on the last day of financial year. Indian Railways has set tough targets for the year 2016-17. The meaning of target was changed from completion of project to commissioning of project. In 2016-17, Railways had set 2800 Km target for gauge conversion, doubling, tripling, Indian Railways successfully accomplished 2855 Km in 2016-17. Railway Electrification target for the year 2016-17 was 1730, the accomplished target is 2000 Kms. The projects which are getting commissioned today were started long ago but today they are getting commissioned. Our Government is committed to fulfil the promises. Under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, Railways’ Development is given priority. With the development of Railways, development of nation is ensured. Indian Railways is taking many steps like tree plantation, restoration of water bodies. Complete development of Nation is to be ensure.-WTN
