Sushma Swaraj calls on Bangladesh PM

New Delhi April 7 (IANS) External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on visiting Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina here on Friday.

First engagement for the honoured guest. EAM @SushmaSwaraj calls on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Rashtrapati Bhavan External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay tweeted.

Earlier in the day in a special gesture Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally received Sheikh Hasina who arrived on a four-day official visit to India at the airport.

This is her first bilateral visit to India in seven years after her visit in 2010.

Modi and Sheikh Hasina will hold a bilateral summit on Saturday following which over 20 agreements including a civil nuclear agreement and two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on defence cooperation are expected to be signed.
