Goa AAP wants non-BJP parties to boycott Shah felicitation

Panaji April 8 (IANS) The Goa AAP on Saturday asked all non-BJP parties to boycott public felicitation of BJP national President Amit Shah on Sunday evening saying the manner in which the party usurped power in the state is one of the darkest spots in Goa s political history.

In a statement issued here late on Saturday the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also asked Shah to spell out the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) s stand on beef ban in the state where Catholics account for nearly one-fourth of the total population.

This political atrocity being perpetrated through state power will go down as one of the darkest spots in Goa s political history the statement AAP said describing Shah as the chief agent of hate and politics of polarisation.

What s the BJP s and its government s stand in Goa on their ongoing campaign to ban beef particularly in the light of related violence and sporadic statements of top party leaders? the statement read.
