Kerala intelligence chief goofs up, fails to recognise minister

Thiruvananthapuram April 12 (IANS) Kerala intelligence chief Mohammed Yasin on Wednesday found himself in an embarrassing situation when he mistook a state minister for the latter s Cabinet colleague.

Yasin an Additional Director General of Police went to Revenue Minister E. Chandrasekharan s residence at around 7.30 a.m. and as the minister came out to meet him the senior IPS officer asked if he was Agriculture Minister Sunil Kumar.

A baffled minister then asked a staff member to guide Yasin to the residence of his party and Cabinet colleague Sunil Kumar.

Confirming the goof-up the Revenue Minister told reporters that such a mistake should not have occurred especially on part of a senior intelligence officer.

State Police chief Loknath Behra assured of action in the case after a probe.
