Cabinet Secretary gets a year s extension (Lead)
New Delhi April 24 (IANS) Union Cabinet Secretary Pradeep Kumar Sinha was on Monday given a year s extension in service said an official statement.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved extension in service to Pradeep Kumar Sinha IAS as Cabinet Secretary for a further period of one year beyond June 12 2017 said a Personnel Public Grievances & Pensions Ministry statement.
Sinha a 1977 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre had assumed office in June 2015.
His predecessor Ajit Seth was given two extensions by the government.
