Minor fire breaks out at North Block
New Delhi May 3 (IANS) A minor fire broke out on Wednesday in the North Block which houses the Union Home and Finance Ministries but was soon controlled a fire officer said. There were no casualties.
The blaze caused by a short circuit in an underground cable also led to power supply being cut of the building for around 50 minutes.
The fire broke out near gate no 8 of North Block at 2.55 p.m. said the officer adding four fire tenders were rushed to spot and extinguished the blaze within 10- 15 minutes.
