Police officer, three others killed in Jharkhand road accident
Ranchi May 8 (IANS) Four persons including a police officer were killed in a road accident in Jharkhand s Giridih district early on Monday police said.
Mahesh Verma a Sub Inspector was returning from a marriage with his family members in a Bolero car when the accident took place at Jalakdiha village on the Bengabad-Madhupur Road around 190 km from here.
The driver of the vehicle was said to have dozed off at the wheel. The car hit a tree.
Four persons including the driver died on the spot. One injured has been admitted in a local hospital.
Verma was posted in Pakur district.
