Barkati removed from post of Shahi Imam
Kolkata May 17 (IANS) Maulana Noor-ur Rehman Barkati was on Wednesday sacked from the post of Shahi Imam of the Tipu Sultan Mosque here.
On Monday a police complaint was lodged against Barkati who had threatened jihad and refused to take off the beacon from his vehicle by the mosque s trustee board.
