Teenager drowns in Delhi lake
New Delhi June 9 (IANS) A teenager was drowned while bathing in a lake in west Delhi s Kanjhawala area police said on Friday.
Police said 15-year-old Raj Jha who along with friends Prabhat Masoom and Sattan had gone to take a dip in a lake in Shiv Vihar drowned around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Raj waded into deep water and drowned before his friends could summon help from local residents a senior police officer said.
Divers later fished out the body from the lake. Raj was declared brought dead at a nearby hospital he said. Raj stayed with his family in Kirari Suleman Nagar.
