Modi hails Syama Prasad Mookerjee
New Delhi June 23 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tributes to Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his death anniversary.

Mookerjee was the founder of the Jana Sangh which merged into the Janata Party in 1977. He had gone to visit Kashmir in 1953 where he was arrested. He died there.
