National security going through turbulent times: Congress

New Delhi July 3 (IANS) The Congress on Monday attacked the central government over national security saying it was going through turbulent times and there had been a steep increase in border incursions by China.

National security is going through turbulent times in different facets with respect to China border Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi told reporters at a press conference here.

Over 120 incursions have occurred along the border with China and unfortunately the government is caught napping he said.

The Congress leader s remarks came in the wake of the Indian and Chinese troops face-off at Doklam or Donglong a disputed territory between China and Bhutan.

Singhvi also took a dig at the central government for not having a full time Defence Minister.
