New Delhi July 14 (IANS) The Delhi Police on Friday filed a chargesheet against AIADMK Deputy General Secretary T.T.V. Dinakaran s aide Sukesh Chandershekhar in a bribery case.

A separate investigation report against Dinakaran and other accused will be filed later it told the court.

"Investigation qua other accused including Dinakaran and T.P.A Mallikarjuna is pending and the chargesheet in respect of these aspects will be filed before the court through a separate chargesheet " the police said in its investigation report against Chandershekhar.

Dinakaran accused of trying to bribe Election Commission officials to get the "two leaves" poll symbol for a party faction led by his aunt V.K. Sasikala was arrested on April 25. He was granted bail on June 1.

The chargesheet against Chandershekhar was filed before link Special Judge Manoj Jain who listed the matter for hearing on July 17.

Chandershekhar was arrested on April 16 and is in judicial custody.

The police have booked Chandershekhar under Section 467 (forgery of valuable security) Section 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) Section 461 (dishonestly breaking open receptacle containing property) Section 464 (making a false document) Section 120B (punishment of criminal conspiracy) Section 170 (personating a public servant) and Section 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 8 (Taking gratification in order by corrupt or illegal means to influence public servant) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

"From the statement of witnesses analysis of call details records of all the accused persons and witnesses recovery of compact disk and its analysis it was found that accused Sukesh Chandershekhar and Dinakaran were discussing matter over two leave election symbol pending in Election Commission of India (ECI) " the police said in the chargesheet.

The police said a criminal conspiracy was hatched by Chandershekhar Dinakaran and others to execute the plan to bribe ECI officials in order to get a favourable order in the matter pending adjudication regarding "two leaves" symbol.

The money recovered from Chandershekhar was sent by Dinakaran through unaccounted channels with the help of the others police alleged.

However the police said that investigation regarding the compact disc containing conversation between Chandershekhar and Dinakaran contents of mobile phones seized from different accused persons and witnesses is pending.

The report will be finalised after the forensic results the police said adding that they are also probing the role of Election Commission officials in the case.

Mallikarjuna a long-time friend of Dinakaran and Naresh Jain a "hawala" operator from Delhi are the other suspects in the case.
