Man shot dead in Delhi over road rage

New Delhi July 18 (IANS) A man was shot dead and his younger brother injured in west Delhi on Tuesday by two unidentified assailants in a road rage case police said.

Police said Pradeep and his younger brother Pawan of Bapa Nagar area were on way to their sister s home in Kanjhawala when the assailants riding a speeding car confronted them for not giving way to their vehicle.

In the ensuing scuffle one of the car riders shot Pradeep twice and Pawan once with a pistol a senior police officer said.

Both were taken to nearby private hospital where Pradeep succumbed to his injuries while Pawan is under treatment he added.

A closed-circuit television footage from various intersections and major roads are being scanned to identify the culprits he added.
