J&K removes IAS officer after video on him goes viral

Jammu Aug 4 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday removed an IAS officer from his assignment as a District Magistrate after a video showing him in objectionable position with a women went viral.



"Pending inquiry into his conduct Neeraj Kumar District Development Commissioner Udhampur is attached in the office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu " an order issued by the state s General Administration Department said.

The senior Indian Administrative Service officer was shown in an objectionable position with two women in a video that went viral on social media sites.

Before his present assignment Neeraj Kumar also served as the District Magistrate in south Kashmir s Pulwama district.
