Drunk labourer abducts toddler in Gurugram, arrested
Gurugram Aug 4 (IANS) A 28-year-old labourer has been arrested for abducting a one-year-old toddler in a drunken condition the Gurugram police said on Friday.
Manjeet hailing from Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh kidnapped the girl child of his neighbour also a labourer in the evening of August 1 the police said.
"Accused abducted the baby in an inebriated condition and wanted to take her to his village in Ballia but was arrested by an alert police team " a senior police officer said.
An FIR under the Indian Penal Code s Section 365 kidnapping or abducting to confine person was registered at Badshahpur police station.
The man was arrested from near Shikohpur-Rampura village located here on Delhi-Jaipur National Highway.
The arrested labourer will be presented before the court on Saturday.
