Denied video game, teenager commits suicide

Hyderabad Aug 8 (IANS) An engineering student committed suicide after his parents refused to buy him a video game police said on Tuesday.
G. Abhinay (17) jumped from the roof of his two-storey house at Kuntlur in Ranga Reddy district on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Monday night. He sustained critical injuries and was shifted to a private hospital where he died.
A student of B.Tech first year Abhinay had been asking his father G. Srinivas for the last one week to buy him a video game costing Rs 3 000. The father refused and advised him to concentrate on studies.
Upset the teenager committed suicide.
