Electricity wire snaps in Uttarakhand, two killed

Dehradun Aug 8 (IANS) A man and his daughter were killed on Tuesday in Uttarakhand s Chamoli district when an electricity wire fell on the shanty they were sleeping in police said.
The incident happened near a rain-fed canal on Tharali road in Karnaprayag around 2 a.m. The victims Shinakht Beer Singh 60 a labourer and his daughter Basanti 30 were of Nepali origin.
