UP school van falls into pond, no casualties

Lucknow Aug 9 (IANS) Students aboard a school van had a narrow escape on Wednesday when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a pond in Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh police said.
The school van was carrying 16 children at the time of the accident. "Thankfully no one was killed. Some students have sustained minor injuries " a police officer said.
Locals pulled out the children from the pond and saved their lives. The driver told the police that when applying brakes on a turn he lost control of the vehicle and it fell into the pond.
